Some very unexpected news about the loss of Terry Armour of
the Chicago Tribune and the former 105.9 WCKG where I used to
work. He died of an apparent heart attack yesterday at the age
of 46.
My run-ins with Terry were first on the Steve Dahl Show about
six years ago and then when I would visit WCKG over the past
four years that I've been at WXLC.
While I admit, we weren't great friends he was always really
nice to me and at the least knew who I was when I would visit.
His writings were always top notch and I really enjoyed listening
to Stan and Terry before WCKG went away.
Everything that has been written about him in the past day or so
has been a great tribute.

My wife went to a wake not too long ago and it was jam packed.
Somebody commented that money is nothing and that the real
mark of success is being able to touch so many people's lives and
maybe not even know it.
Terry Armour will be missed by many of us on so many different
levels.
His radio partner Stan Lawrence had some nice things to say as
