Happy New Year!
Isn't it Happy New Year? Some people say Happy New YearS
and I say, well, I guess they are wishing me luck for the rest of
my life and all of the years but more appropriate would be Happy
New Year right? But anyway.
Did you make any resolutions for the new year? A tip...make it
attainable! Don't say you want to lose sixty pounds...say you
want to lose twenty and go from there. How many people say
what they want and then fall off the wagon. Drinking? Smoking?
Weight? Those are your three big standard resolutions.
Mine are simple and one is a co-resolution with my wife.
1. Spend more ALONE time together. It is rare and we HAVE to
spend more US time. We can make that happen. See...attainable!
2. Eat better. Sure I've shed a few pounds but on the run it's hard
to get fruit and veggies in me so I am determined to do more of
that.
3. Try to work only ONE job instead of two.
4. Become a multi-millionaire. Not so attainable but typing it out
was a lot of fun!
I went to my inlaws...inlaws house on New Year's Eve after
getting off work. This is a pic of me getting ready to eat 12
grapes at the stroke of midnight. If you eat them all before 12:01
you have a year of good luck. My friend Tony's wife, Ira, is
Spanish and that is a tradition. So at midnight everyone risks
choking to death on grapes! Good stuff!
My grandmother said it would be her last Christmas Eve at her
house. Not last EVER but last at her house. Well, going to church
on Christmas Day her legs gave out and she fell in the house. She
has a pinched nerve in her back at the base of her spine. Poor
woman. Going back to get the donation envelopes and that's
what happens?! She goes to church daily. So I go..."Grandma
you go everyday it doesn't seem right God did that to you!"
A little later five sisters (nuns!) shuffled into the room and I said
that to them. The one (in broken English she was Italian of
course) says... "but-ah...God had-ah her fall-ah in-ah the house
and not-ah outside-ah..." And I was like...ya got me sister!
I managed to take a cell pic for you guys... I was nervous!
Talk to you soon!
