I'm like a day behind on my blogging because my computer has
been acting all crazy! Not sure if it is because I have Skype hooked
up to talk with my family via video back home or what. Either way
I need to figure it out cause it is frustrating as all heck.
Loooooooong day Wednesday. Went over to the Citadel Mall and
got a Tuxedo from "Tuxedo Junction" for a charity event on Friday
night.
Tammy and I were goofing around saying the Matchbox 20 show
last night was our "first date" and that this Friday is a formal
already! Though, I feel like the girl cause she picked me up at my
place on Tuesday night, paid for parking, and even opened my door.
Kidding on the door thing.
Oh, wait. Tammy picked me up and Steven (2 year old) and her
just kind of looked at each other and I didn't know who was more
scared! I told her she looked like she was going to pet him and let
him out to the washroom or something. She even admitted her
maternal instincts aren't too keen but I just thought it was funny
cause I was trying to be Mr. Mom.
We did enjoy more of the show then we anticipated. Alanis
Morrisette was AMAZING and if you get a chance to see her live
don't pass it up. She did all of her hits but was wearing these like
leather jeans that were not very hot looking on her at all. Plus, her
long, long crazy woman hair is back too instead of the shorter cut
that I thought looked better.
Rob Thomas...er, Matchbox 20 just OWNED the crowd. Came out
with "How Far We've Come", did a lot of hits and at a ballad
Tammy and I took off and I was in by 10pm. The venue here is
really close to where we live and I dig that!
Got home after a bunch of meeting around 4pm and played ball
with Steven. He is using the bat now and I am so proud of him!
Might be a LITTLE homesick cause I called and talked with my
stepdad Norman for a few minutes and even left him a message of
my youngest, Adam, laughing for him to enjoy.
Tried calling my older brother but I think it was too late. Tried my
aunt on Skype and no answer...even talked and text a few former
coworkers today! Kelly and I have been so busy that we are
catching up on things right when the boys get to bed and we hunker
down for the night too. It's nice and I know she is trying to adjust
too and doing a darn good job right now.
All that I miss about home is just that... home! Not work cause I am
loving it here. The entire Peak FM staff and everyone in our
building have been so nice and I hope it is not a honeymoon phase!
I'm sure it is not cause they have all been here a long time.
Talk to you soon and thanks for visiting!

My wife, Kelly, is
walking in the Susan G.
Komen 3 Day Walk in
August back home in
Chicago.
This is something near
and dear to us as we
try to raise money to
defeat breast cancer.
She is walking for my
mother...Anne...she
passed away January
21st of this year.
If you know anyone
who has been affected
by breast cancer or
would like to help
please donate! THANK
YOU for any support
you can provide.
This is very personal
for us and our families
and affects many
woman today. At first
I felt weird about
asking for donations,
but you know what, it
is a major issue and
the more awareness
and help the better!
