I've gotten emails from you asking where Tammy Oakland is...no
she is NOT being stashed away. Check out her My Space and
you'll get everything you need! But I can tell you she is doing
GOOD!!

The news I wanted to share with you is that my wife drove home to
Chicago on Wednesday. Her dad is having surgery and she really
wanted to be there. What am I supposed to say NO don't go? We
talked about it and flying was way too expensive. She took the
boys with  her and arrived Thursday night around 7pm. They were
TOTALLY SHOCKED since she didn't tell them she was coming and
that's why I was a bit secretive about it.

In the end it cost a bit more for her to drive since on I-80 in Iowa
outside of Des Moine one of her tires blew out. It cost $80 for a
new one and thankfully a gentleman helped her out to get the spare
on. She said the boys were great during the trip and that helps too.
The surgery is Monday and she is probably coming home next
Wedensday or Thursday.

So it means I am once again a "bachelor" for the weekend which is
fine. I am going to the Fox 21 JDRF Ball, a fundraiser, on Friday
night and have to get a tux fitted for it. I'm solo and will likely not
stay too long.

Talked on the phone with Tim Vander Tuuk, a friend back home for
TWENTY MINUTES today. That is INSANE! Loooooooooong. Good
conversation at least and you would hope it being twenty minutes
and all.

Then I went to go see the Tina Fey movie "Baby Mamma" since I
love her work and walked out about 1/2 way through it. Sorry
Tina!!

And by the way...Speedracer looks so stupid! They don't even use
the original theme from the cartoon.

Sunday, Mother's Day, I plan on going to the Sky Sox baseball
game down the street and watching the game. I'm hoping it will be
nice out so I can enjoy the game.
