Not sure that this past week could have been any busier from a
work standpoint. Well, it could have but the fact that I am really
sick right now shows that it was just enough to knock me out!

Just have a really bad head cold and can't breathe through the
nostrils which is kind of a bummer.

The Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo Breakfast was an experience.

Lil' Biggs was fun too!

Friday night we went over to our neighbor's house (Pam and Gary)
and hung out for a BBQ. Gary is the man since we just brought over
the food and he cooked it up. A bunch of chicken and some dogs.

Saturday I kind of had the sniffle thing going on but thought it was
my allergies. Started the day at the Olympic Training Facility here
in Colorado Springs. The Beijing Olympics start 8-8-08 so this was
like a celebration. It was really fun and REALLY interesting. A lot of
history and you could watch some of the athletes workout.

The gymnasts had 16 packs and were one big muscle. It was crazy.
I couldn't stop looking at them! LOL!

Then I was at Phil Long Ford for Military Appreciation Day. A lot of
fun and a great thing they did for our men and women serving.
Deals on repairs, food, and more. Good stuff.

I'd gotten home and was really feeling crappy but decided I could
stick it out. Our neighbor Pam and daughter Ali came over to watch
Adam since Steven was crashed out already. We headed to the Fox
21 studios in town to say "hey" to friend Tim Elbertson. He does
our weather every morning and I've been bugging him to let me
play with the green screen! So, he normally doesn't work on
Saturday and this was a great opportunity. It was fun doing the
behind the scenes thing and I DO have pics to slap up at some point
of me in his jacket doing the weather. I think that I look decent on
TV maybe it's time to make the crossover?? Ha ha.

Then it was off to "Nosh" downtown kind of a restaurant/bar. My
nose at this point was in high gear and I was feeling not too good
at all. Kelly and her sister got a bottle of wine so I designated
myself as the driver. We then walked down to Jack Quinn's on
Tejon to watch an Irish Band called "Big Paddy's" (what else
right?) perform! It was fun and we got to see some guys start a
fight before being booted. Oh, and there were a lot of guys in kilts
walking around too. Kelly and her sister, Colleen, insisted on calling
them SKIRTS the whole night. Poor guys.

And here we are Sunday (4:30pm Mountain is time of the post) and
I'm waiting for the White Sox vs. Cubs game to start and hoping
the Sox can sweep to "pay back" the Cubbies from last weekend. I
just wonder what excuse Cubs fans will come up with. Probably
something along the lines of "well we swept you first" or
something like that. :) Believe me I have a lot of payback to dole
out if they pull it off since everyone including my general manager
gave me crap about it.

LOTS in store for the upcoming week. First thing...come out to
Gloss Denim Bar at Briargate Monday afternoon starting at 4 so
you can win that $10,000 shopping spree. Oh, and you get to
decide if you want to take the spree in Beverly Hills or New York!

Good luck and hope you had a good weekend,

JC
